At the border (Shenzhen Bay or Huanggang), you disembark for immigration — yes, current regulations require all passengers to go through immigration on foot. But here's the difference: at Shenzhen Bay heading into Hong Kong, your luggage can stay in the vehicle. You walk through with just your passport. The car meets you on the other side. The whole immigration stop takes about 5–10 minutes.
Total journey: 45–60 minutes door to door. One fixed price — tolls, parking, driver service all included. No calculating which segment costs what. No worrying about detours or surprise charges.
It's not the cheapest option. But if you're bringing family, meeting clients, or just want to get home after a long flight — the extra ¥500-800 buys you back 2 hours and your peace of mind.
